You don't have to venture to the coast to enjoy a day on the beach. Head to Nuttings Lake and spread out a towel on Micozzi Beach. The sandy beach sits along the banks of the lake, the perfect local alternative to a seaside beach. It has everything you need to enjoy a day in the sun, including lifeguards during the day and a large swimming area roped off by buoys.
Take a break from sunbathing and swimming to enjoy a round of volleyball with friends on the sandy shores or head to the basketball court and play a pick-up game with friends. Bring along a picnic lunch and eat at one of the many tables scattered throughout the tree-shaded grass just beyond the fringes of the beach. You can also rent watercraft like canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards to head out on the water beyond the swimming area. You'll pay to park at Micozzi Beach, but the rest of the fun is free (except for rentals).
